How CHAI Accounting Lite works
CHAI Accounting Lite is an applet that runs
directly on the Chai Virtual Machine embedded in recent HP workgroup and departmental LaserJet printers.
The software is installed on the printer over the network, and can then be configured, queried and controlled via a web-browser. Maintaining the solution only means ensuring your prices for cartridges and paper are kept up-to-date. |
CHAI Accounting Lite then captures the type
of paper and the amount of toner used for each print job to calculate the cost, and stores this information with details of date and time, document name, user, originating PC, and the number of pages sent and processed in colour or black-and-white.
A selection of reports presents this information in the web-browser by individual job, user or originating PC, or for all printer
activity. |
